Welcome!

I am Sun Ryung Park, a political economist (PhD ‘25, University of British Columbia), specializing in the political economy of green industrial transformation and state capacity in Northeast Asia.

My work analyzes how South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan navigate the intersection of decarbonization and the US-China geopolitical competition. More broadly, my current book project disentangles how governments and industries strategically respond to technological disruption and supply chain restructuring.
